Users in Latin America and Spain can now enjoy the story of The Boy Who Lived from Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal to the final adventure in Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte across their devices.
On 20th July 2023, Pottermore Publishing launched the Latin-American version of Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) with Scribd, Inc. Fans of the Wizarding WorldTM can now access Harry Potter in Spanish on Everand, a product of Scribd, Inc. alongside other eBook and audiobook titles. The launch of book one was followed by a bi-weekly release cadence, ending with Harry Potter y la Reliquias de la Muerte (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) on 12th October.
Pottermore Publishing worked closely with Scribd, Inc. on the launch marketing as they put an innovative twist on our beautiful marketing assets. Using their social media platforms to promote our titles, the team at Scribd, Inc. created content that showcased a multitude of characters from across the seven stories ranging from the Hogwarts professors to the villains of the wizarding world. The campaign included in-feed posts, reels and interactive social quizzes and resulted in 2.1M social impressions and over 75,000 accounts engaged in the content.
Fans of the Wizarding World were also encouraged to read or listen to Harry Potter through push notifications, in-app tools, emails and editorial lists. A month on from the release of Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte and all seven Harry Potter audiobook stories, narrated by Carlos Ponce, are still sitting in the top thirty titles globally on Everand.
We are delighted to be reaching more of our Spanish-speaking fans through this launch and we’re looking forward to more exciting things to come with Everand.
