We are delighted to announce that on 29th August 2024 the full Harry Potter series was released on Yoto, the award-winning children’s audio platform.
After being heavily requested for years by Yoto users, the audiobooks are now available to download, with Yoto cards available to purchase in the UK, US, Canada, France and Australia in English, French and Latin American Spanish. Children aged 7+ can now listen to Harry Potter in a new and exciting way.
Pottermore Publishing have been working closely alongside Yoto on both the launch marketing and the design of the chapter icons, the Yoto cards and the physical packaging. We collaborated with Yoto’s creative team to design 167 unique chapter icons that listeners can look forward to seeing on their Yoto Players as they journey through the stories. The physical Yoto cards, which can be purchased individually or in various bundle options, feature our enchanting title cover artwork with added elements of embossing and special foiling for that extra touch of magic.
The campaign has included Instagram teaser videos, onsite and in-app banners, a creative mailer gift box sent to numerous influencers and their children, a Back to Hogwarts showcase video and a Harry Potter website takeover. Yoto are also running a competition for fans of the stories to get involved in, set to go live in October for fans based in the UK, US and Canada. The Yoto Space competition, being held on their micro-site, encourages children to listen along to two audio clips and then record their own ‘sound effects’ of dragon and/or Quidditch sounds.
The Yoto website features details such as the cursor resembling the snitch chapter icon, to celebrate the launch. There’s also a ‘Meet the Characters’ section for new fans to learn about the characters before delving into the wizarding world. The 200 gift boxes that were sent out to influencers encouraged children to take part in a hunt for the Yoto Cards, with invisible ink clues to be found with the provided UV light torch, alongside our Harry Potter 1-7 Yoto cards and a delicious Warner. Bros Chocolate Frogs and Chocolate Hogwarts Express Tickets.
We’re thrilled that we were able to work with Yoto to launch on their innovative, screen-free Yoto Players, and we’re looking forward to our continued collaboration with them to bring Harry Potter to a new generation of fans.
