From the Wizarding Archive wins ‘Best Audiobook’ award

10th October 2024

From the Wizarding Archive has been named ‘most magical listening experience’!

We are excited to announce that our latest release, From the Wizarding Archive, is one of the winners of the ‘Best Audiobook’ category in the 2024 Good Housekeeping Kids’ Book Awards, taking home the title of ‘most magical listening experience’.

Every year, renowned lifestyle magazine Good Housekeeping asks children and parents throughout the U.S. to cast votes for their favourite books across multiple categories. From picture books, to non-fiction and graphic novels, there is a category for every budding reader. This year, for the first time, they have opened their awards up to audiobooks! We are thrilled to be one of the first recipients of this award and are honoured that young Harry Potter fans took the time to vote for our latest title.

From the Wizarding Archive is a curation of 80 Harry Potter-related articles and anecdotes available at wizardingworld.com, each written by J.K. Rowling as an accompaniment to her original stories. Fan favourite Evanna Lynch has written an exclusive foreword for the book, and narrates the enlightening articles alongside Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson and Lara Sawalha. Available for the first time in audio, we have brought these articles to life with original music and enchanting sound design.

Congratulations to everyone who worked on this project at Pottermore and Audible, as well as the other winners of this amazing award. We’d also like to give a big thank you to Good Housekeeping and to the fans who voted. You can find out more about the awards and other winners by visiting the Good Housekeeping website.

We are delighted that so many young book lovers have been able to delve further into the world of Harry Potter and discover more of the magic. It’s great to learn that they were particularly impressed with the production quality, and that they enjoyed learning more information on their favourite characters. We know children can be the toughest of critics, making this award even more special.
